CHEDDAR OPENS LIVE STUDIO IN FLATIRON BUILDING SPRINT STORE
Iconic, curved glass, street-level “prow” to be home to new “Cheddar Life” live broadcasts


NEW YORK, August 1, 2016 — Cheddar, the live news network that sits at the intersection of technology, media, business and culture today opened its street level studio in New York City’s most iconic building and store. Cheddar will broadcast daily live shows from the ground-level curved corner of the Sprint store situated in the Flatiron Building.


Cheddar will launch “Cheddar Life” from the studio- a new block of live and on-demand programming focused on health, wellness, pets, entertainment, beauty, cooking, fashion and of course the Cheddar core of media and technology.
“The Prow space at our iconic Flatiron building has long been an important artistic and cultural center in the heart of Manhattan’s Silicon Alley and we are delighted to welcome Cheddar to our building,” said Jane Gural-Senders, executive director for the Flatiron building and a principal of Newmark Holdings, an ownership partner. “As a medium defining business news network for Millennials, Cheddar will offer our tenants and the surrounding community an exciting new live broadcast that we are thrilled to host.”

Cheddar Life will begin with a live hour from 12:30PM to 1:30 PM (EST) weekdays and stream live on multiple platforms & OTT services. The new show will focus on lifestyle passion points and take an informative, modern, and casual approach to the morning news and daytime chat format.
Live programming hours will expand rapidly from the Flatiron studio.
The show will incorporate interviews, exercise challenges, cooking, video games, street interviews, fashion and beauty, and a full bar.
The show’s set will continue to incorporate the artwork famous to the Flatiron Building’s Prow Artspace.
